Our Story
I have always loved dogs. From my first puppy at 5 years old, I grew to love the friendship, happiness and unconditional love that a four legged friend brings to your life.
My dogs have usually been large pure bred dogs like Samoyeds, Labradors and Golden retrievers. That is, until I was introduced to a certain lil Frenchie rescue puppy named Pinto who stole my heart.
Since then, I have been on a bit of a mission to understand the fascinating breed that is the French bulldog. And this blog is the culmination of my findings – presented here is the good the bad and the ugly of falling in love with a Frenchie.

I didn’t know much about the French bulldogs when Pinto came into my life. So I had a lot to learn. And boy did I learn! The French bulldog breed is quite complex, and I had no idea about the health issues that our sweet little friends have to endure for their looks. I don’t agree with breeding dogs for their physical attributes to the detriment of their health like the poor French bulldog has been. And I speak about this freely here. But I do know how easy it is to love a Frenchie. So if one does come into your life, like Pinto came into mine, I hope this resource will be of some help to you.
